His 12 month check up

 Produktif sungguh hari ni.

 

Pagi tadi, dua kali I pergi sekolah Cik Aiyu. Mana tak nya, dah tengah jalan baru perasan, yang cik kak kita tak pakai shorts bawah dress. Sekolah dia ni strict sikit bahagian pakaian ni. Kalau nak pakai skirt, kena pakai short. Takleh nak kasi nampak spender. Baju, takleh pakai spaghetti strap atau halter neck. Kasut pulak, hanya tennis shoes. Crocs ke, boots ke, memang tak dapat. Tennis shoes yang ada lampu lip lap pun tak boleh. Yang bunyi bunyi apatah lagi, hehehe...

 

Dari sekolah mek Aiyu, kitorang pergi jumpa pediatrician abam Aaron lak. We did his 12 months visit. Kesian cik abam kita, dapat 4 vaccines, ngan finger prick for lead test. Masa finger prick dia tak nangis, takde perasaan pun. Tapi bila kena cucuk dua dua belah peha tu, dia nangis lah. He didn't cry for long, but I could not stand the "you betrayed me, mom" look from him. Sorry baby, bukan mommy yang nak kamu kena cucuk. Blame it on Texas, hahaha...

 

 

So far alhamdulillah, I think he is progressing well. He can walk good, and I guess he can do whatever a year old boy supposed to do, whatever it is, hahaha.. So I thought. Tadi masa kat klinik tu ada checklist yang I kena isi, tentang perkembangan abam Aaron. For example, can he pick a lace between his thumb and index finger? If he is given a crayon, would he scribble on a paper (after you show him how).

 

Oh em gee.

 

I didn't know those were expected from a year old boy. I guess I never really did ask him to do anything, let alone to pay undivided attention to everything he does. Like come onnnn... he has an older sibling, and mommy has a smartphone. Ever heard about Instagram? It is so addictive to check on what people are having for their dinner, and their outfit of the day.

Perhaps, I should pay more attention on Aaron's growth. It's time to get the Duplo out, and to buy those chubby crayons (hoping he will actually use it, and not chew on it).
